Collaborating since 2010, Austrian designers Christian, Wolfgang, Christoph, Stefan, Ive, Viktoria, and Robert are a close-knit team of parents who share a passion for designing high-quality, earth-friendly products for children.
Free from PVC and designed to be easily repaired with a long lifespan, each scooter is made from eco-friendly or recycled materials. Scoot And Ride goes above and beyond to reduce their carbon footprint, even focusing on minimal packaging and scheduling the most direct transportation routes possible.
Tested and complying with over 40 countries’ rigorous safety standards, TOY DIRECTIVE 2009-48-EC, and REACH regulations, Scoot & Ride is proud to produce safe products that are good for the earth and will stay with your family for decades.
QUALITY Our products have been tested by recognized laboratories in accordance with country-specific legal requirements and meet or exceed the defined requirements. Depending on the category, our product was tested in accordance with one or more of the following standards: EN71 / EN14619 / EN 1078 / ASTM F963 / ASTM F2246 / KC / GMARK / AS-NZS ISO 8124.
PRODUCTION We have produced our scooters in Southern China for nine years. The company is run by Mr Lee, a second company in Hong Kong carries out daily communication for us (thank you, Ricky, Stanley, Lisa, Jim and Armin). Jane, who also lives in China, carries out a quality check ordered by us, prior to every shipping. Since 2018 we have also produced our helmets in China and, going forward, we will also have a foothold in Vietnam. All our direct partners comply with international and additional voluntary standards such as ISO 9001, BSCI, ICTI, Bluesign, Ökotex. As an Austrian company, we make our requirements our goal and are on-site every other month; the best way to go forward is together.
RESPONSIBILITY At Scoot And Ride, we are convinced that products with a long service-life are the least harmful to the environment. We live our 2 in 1 idea, use the best materials and design our products in such a way that they can be repaired. We strive to use environmentally-friendly or recycled materials, where possible; in 2019, our trade fair freebies, for example, are largely made from recycle materials. Optimised supply chains are also an important factor, therefore we changed our overseas packaging units from two to four items and optimised all carton sizes to minimise CO2. Our goal is to create even more direct shipping of goods and reduce transport routes.
